Dear wine and football friends,

When our current honorary president Norbert Heine, Andreas Kaul and I set up the "Wine World Team" for the first time in the Munich Olympic Stadium in 2005, an incredible passion was immediately felt. The football boots that were already hanging on the nails of many winemakers were taken off so that they could stand together on the pitch. Whether young or old, ex-professional or amateur player, winemaker or oenologist, we are united by a passion for wine and the joy of getting to know international colleagues with their wines and competing in football on the wonderfully fragrant lawn. Being able to use all of this for a good cause motivates you for every minute of free time that you have to “sacrifice”. My goal and motivation is to continue to organize friendly experiences around wine and football in Europe and perhaps even overseas with our very committed board. "The truth lies in the wine and on the pitch!"
